1. Al Nunez asked for a script for the advising portion of the applicant’s view of the portal. Lorraine Donegan will deliver the script on the video. He asked for input by the end of next week. Rachel will send out links to the general text on the advising web site, and the AAC will formulate a script over e-mail.
2. Cindy read a report from Tom Zuur on the PolyProgress fix.
- 2 new OAR staff will start Feb. 1.
- They are having training issues.
- They are looking at the pool of applicants to fill the remaining 2 spots.
- The PolyProgress fix is labor intensive. 122 screens are involved. 41 have been completed.
- OAR won’t send out PP audits until the fix is complete.
- Jane Leaphart said they may be required to send out PP audits as graduation evaluations.
- No report on whether someone will check PP audits before they go out if they are required to send them out.
3. AAC picked its top 4 priorities from the list of requests in the memo sent to Bob Detweiler. Priorities were:
- Accurate evaluations for all newly admitted transfer students prior to their second registration. (Changed from first registration to make it more feasible for OAR at present.)
- Senior evaluations two registration cycles before graduation for all seniors who request an evaluation four quarters in advance of graduation.
- Automated audits to eligible students that are accurate and contain no programming errors.
- Maintain and keep Cal Poly current in ASSIST.
4. Mary & Cindy will send a memo to Tom with copies to Kimi, Bob, David, and Jean DeCosta communicating AAC’s priorities. They will also include in the memo:
- This pared down list of priorities is because of the PeopleSoft conversion, and the original requests will be revisited at a later date.
- They will request that OAR prioritize transfer evaluations for students coming from out of state.
- They will request a follow-up meeting.
5. AAC will compile list of SIS screens they use frequently and what they use the screens for. Anya brought a list that SAS has compiled and will distribute it to AAC electronically so everyone can add to it. List will be sent to Kimi Ikeda to help with PeopleSoft implementation. |
