2. Announcements from Mary
- Kimi will attend next meeting and give an update of PeopleSoft. What does AAC want to know?
- Two of OAR's selections for new staff were turned down by HR. Two evaluators are starting in January, and OAR will make two new offers
- Engineering is hiring one, maybe two, advisors.
3. Outstanding Faculty Advisor
- Bonnie will chair the committee
- Brad and Tammy will be on the committee
- Bonnie rewrote instructions to prevent faculty soliciting nominations for themselves.
4. Advising Workshop at CTL
- Cindy will chair.
- Brad and Bonnie will participate
- Cindy will ask Lorraine Donegan to be the faculty representative. If she can't do it, Kathryn will.
5. Lucy Advising Booths
- Jason recommended setting them up at the beginning and end of each term because that's when students feel lost.
- AAC will set up booths during spring registration on a Tuesday and Wednesday for 2 hours during spring registration.
6. Advertising for Winter and Spring
- Possible issues to focus the advertising on during winter and spring terms included: GWR, USCP, Graduation Evaluations, and the 8 requirements to graduate.
- Mary and Katie will make an ad for the Mustang Daily.
- Cindy asked for clarification on the idea of having student focus groups, which was raised at last spring's retreat. No clarification was forthcoming.
